In the morning we did some training, announcements, and presentations, and sang happy birthday to the september and october birthdays.� I got elected for kitchen duty for the week, I had a feeling I was going to be next o.O. Today I�went to my first site visit and inspection at Caroline Davis Intermediate School.� The school was pretty barren, it needed trees badly.� There was little shade and the principal said during the hot days during lunch and p.e., the kids will huddle under whatever little shade there is provided by a few trees.� They wanted 54 trees But they had no way to water and maintain that large scale of an upkeep.� We started with something low and manageable with 18 trees for now.� I basically shadowed Christian and Jennifer during the site visit.� I had my clipboard, scribbling notes and drawing site marks on the site map I�had printed early from Google maps.� I like the principal. She was very passionate in doing whatever she can to obtain these trees for the school.� Thereapos;s a lot of hurdles she has to get over with the district and the union.� I�hope they will able to get at least these 18 trees, they do need it.� Went back to the office to finish making the site map with the proper details and keys added.� Got it approved by Jenn and then we emailed it to the principal so she can be able to present it at her faculty meeting tomorrow morning.� It took me longer than it should creating the site map with Adobeapos;s InDesign for the Mac.� Ugh, macs are such a bitch to use.� I donapos;t see how it is user friendlier than a PC with Windows.� Right click is so damn convenient� Haha.� I feel pretty productive today in taking part in the set up of a potentially good sized planting in the future.� Tomorrow Iapos;m working at the treebank, I love being there.� This week seems to be busy for me.� I want to ask for saturday off so andy and i can drive down to socal and hangout with mitch and chris and all of them.� Itapos;s a going away thing for mitch since heapos;s leaving to China on oct.26 for the next year.� looking forward to tomorrow, good night.
